We went and rode horses today, meet Jack and Holiday🤩 it was such a perfect day to do this with perfect weather! I can’t even tell you the last time I rode a horse but it was like riding a bike. These guys pretty much knew the route anyway so we didn’t have to do much😂
Derek (@idahowild_adventures ) was our guide and he was so much fun! Very chatty and made the ride super enjoyable and fun! The couple in our group were on their first date so we had a great time getting to know them as they got to know each other more🤪
We definitely want to do more horse rides as we start to constantly travel again next week. We took a bit of a break from moving weekly to staying in one spot for a month or two to relax a little but we’re itching to get back on the road again!😊

Photo dump of our weekend in the Black Hills of South Dakota! Tim took Friday off of work and we rented a Slingshot to explore the roads of Needles Highway, Wildlife Loop Road, Iron Mountain Road, and Old Hill City Road. We definitely did not feel comfortable taking the roads in our F-250 because of how narrow they were but we did pass some brave people in theirs!
Saturday we went to visit Mount Rushmore! We went around 7pm and walked the Presidential trail then got ready for the ceremony. At 8pm they started a history lesson that talked about the life and history of each president on the mountain, then lit up their faces so they can be seen after dark! They then asked all military to come down to the stage and help take down the American flag and thanked them all for their service. It was amazing to see the patriotism and standing ovation for those who serve since it’s unfortunately so rare these days.
We really loved South Dakota and would definitely go back!
