What have we been up to the last couple of months? Well, we swung through DFW and stayed a couple of weeks on Lewisville Lake. We got to spend quite a bit of time visiting friends and family. We got to attend the wedding of my Brother-In-Law and his bride. They found a really cool wedding venue right outside of Sanger, and it was a beautiful ceremony.

I got to play golf with my Father-in-Law and Sister-in-Law’s boyfriend. The ladies went with us to drive the golf carts and laugh at us! LOL

We went to Racks a few nights too and hung out til the wee hours of the morning and got to visit with a bunch of our pool buddies. Sorry we couldn’t make it to see everybody!

Once we left Lewisville Lake, we went to Bonham and spent a week staying almost next door to my Mom! We walked over and visited with her almost every night that week. After that, we went to lake Texoma for a week. Then to Thackerville. That week, I played golf with my Father-In-Law one more time before taking off again.

The next few weeks, we just kind of hung out in Southern Arkansas and Middle Oklahoma. Kind of killing time until it warmed up a little more before heading North. We’re planning on spending a week near Mansfield, Ohio later in June and spend some time with Morgan’s Grandma. Really looking forward to that!

We did stop in Branson again for a week. We really enjoyed our time there in the fall, but there was so much closed because it was “off season” that we wanted to stay there again. This time, I took the entire week off of work and we played the role of tourists all week! One evening we went to “Dinner and a Show” aboard “The Showboat Branson Belle.” That was a super fun evening! A fancy 3 course meal with a show afterward. All while sailing on Table Rock Lake on an old Steamboat.

We spent an afternoon hiking Dogwood Canyon. “Hiking” is a pretty strong word for it. It was a mostly paved path. It was a few miles round trip, though. And some beautiful scenery along the way!

Everyone we talked to told us we should go to Silver Dollar City. We were talking to one lady in Ulta. She said, “Around here we call it ‘Steal Your Dollars City’.” Then we asked her if she’d ever been. She said, “Oh, I have a season pass…” 😂😂😂

We got tickets and spent pretty much the entire day there. It was expensive. And it was worth it! All kinds of shopping and shows. People doing blacksmithing, glass blowing, all kinds of other stuff. And food. All the food. Anything you could want. And roller coasters. That was probably(?) our favorite part. We rode them all. Some of them 2 or 3 times. This one must have been our favorite. I think we rode it 4 times.

There was a zipline adventure that we really wanted to do. Well, I really wanted to do it and Morgan reluctantly said she would too. 😂

There is a ~140 foot tower on top of “the highest point in Missouri.” I don’t know if that’s true or not, but it’s what they claim. You launch from the tower and zipline over 1/2 a mile to the bottom of the mountain. Every time we tried to book it, though, it came a thunderstorm. Maybe the universe was trying to tell us something. Haha!! We’ll have to try again next time through.

Watch for another post coming soon! That’s probably long enough for this one.
